La Huerta es la historia de un colectivo que decide poner en práctica las ideas de la agroecología y la autogestión. El autor trabajó como agricultor en un colectivo similar durante años; basándose en sus propias vivencias y en numerosas charlas y entrevistas con otros agricultores y consumidores, nos recrea acciones, debates, sucesos y atmósferas que caracterizan a este movimiento, con profundidad, amor y humor. También es la historia de la intensa lucha de los vecinos de un pueblo, donde el colectivo tiene su huerta, por evitar que la especulación inmobiliaria destruya su dehesa.
La huerta y el origen de las cosas es una fábula sobre lo que somos, lo que fuimos y lo que podríamos ser. Una mirada al campo como un espacio en lucha por un mañana diferente, ecológico, respetuoso y en armonía con el medioambiente.
