Historia 2 Tomos. (Tomo I libros I-IV, Tomo II libros V-IX)
La «Historia» de Heródoto está dividida en nueve libros, y desde su proemio señala como objetivo la narración del enfrentamiento entre griegos y persas, un conflicto que enfrentó a estas dos sociedades en el siglo V a. C. A lo largo de la obra Heródoto indica las claves del ascenso del poder persa y su expansión a lo largo de Asia y Egipto. El autor ofrece muchísimos datos históricos y antropológicos de los pueblos y sociedades sometidas por los reyes Darío y Jerjes, y finalmente se centra en la expedición que estos monarcas persas dirigieron contra Grecia. A lo largo de sus páginas asistimos a las batallas de Maratón y las Termópilas, así como al gradual antagonismo de dos ciudades griegas, Atenas y Esparta.
La obra se edita en dos volúmenes, el volumen 1 incluye los libros I a IV y el volumen 2 los libros V a IX
