Ley 50/1980, 17 de octubre, de Contrato de Seguro (Insurance Contract Act), which in the absence of a specifically applicable law, governs the various insurance formulas. Articles 2 and 44 of this Act establish that its stipulations are mandatory for all insurance contracts with the exception of contracts covering large risks as defined in article 107.2 or where the Act itself provides otherwise.
